Future potential with know-how thanks to plant engineering and biochar
The Garden's Best® project was developed in 2009 by Kai Alberding and Malte Graf.
Since then, the two founders have worked on the use of biomass and biochar for energy and material uses. Since 2014, this project has both developed and intensified, focusing on the areas of use for biochar and substrates. This allows for biochar to be produced on a large-scale, growing media, soil additives and organic fertilizers which are guaranteed 100% to be all natural ingredients.
Registered trademark
The Garden's Best® name has been legally protected and registered as a corporate trademark.
When we first started producing our products at Garden's Best® first, it was carried out in several large-scale tests. This bio-cycle process is a milestone in the practical implementation of an integrated material flow management and offers great future potential thanks to the use of biomass and biochar.
Our founders
Kai Alberding
Kai Alberding has been involved in sustainable power generation, using biomass and product development for over 15 years. As a business administration graduate, Kai Alberding has established several companies and locations as well as his own project developments.
The focus here was on the plants and projects' technical and commercial management. With Malte Graf, he created and registered the Garden's Best® brand and the product family that developed over the past 10 years. Today, all this is reflected in Garden's Best® GmbH, a company specialised in using biomass and biochar for producing clean energy.
Malte Graf
As a trained farmer, Malte Graf has been involved with nature and use of biomass for a long time. In 2000, he founded the company Peer-Span GmbH and distributes various bedding materials.
Since 2009 he has been working together with Kai Alberding on energy use and bedding material and other natural materials. This has led to an intensive development aimed at using it in the areas of biomass, biochar and substrates.
